National Team Coach:
The National Team Coach for the Senior Team of the Racquetball Association of Ireland are responsible for:
In the event of not having a Team Manager The Coach, with a delegated assistant will:
- Shortlisting suitable players to enter into the Senior development panel.
- Contribute to the design and implementation , monitoring and progression of a training programme that will be run over a minimum of a two year cycle.
- Fostering a culture of growth, dedication, team work within the panel and the RAI.
- Setting panel goals and coordinating and supporting the implementation of these principles into the fabric of the panel and RAI.
- Programming and monitoring of training needs, fitness, strength, skills, sports psychology and lifestyle.
- Provide ongoing support to panel members throughout the year to challenge development and keep everyone accountable to the agree goals
- Selecting a panel and finally a team for International Championships.
- Organizing team selection trials venue and coordinating with the Team Manager
- Organizing training camps for the panel and team with the Team Manager
- Ensuring all team members sign the players code of conduct, aligning with agreed core values and sportsperson behaviours.
- Coaches of International Teams shall have completed relevant RAI Coaching
- Courses, relevant Safeguarding Courses and be Garda vetted.

In the event of not having a Team Manager The Coach, with a delegated assistant will:
- Ordering team equipment, track suits and shirts.
- Booking of airline tickets, airport transfers and hotels for the team
- Organizing practice sessions for the team at the venue of the championships before the championships begin.
- Ensuring team members are aware of team wear uniform protocol
- Ensure that each team member is aware of official protocol at the tournament, and that team members are aware of match schedules
- Be court side when players are competing
- Attend any meetings/functions that the tournament organisers request.
- Providing a written report to the EXCO after the Championships have concluded,
- Managers of International Teams shall have completed relevant RAI Coaching Courses, relevant Safeguarding Courses and be Garda vetted.
