Local hero Joe Dillion proved too strong for all the rest at the Kingscourt & Ulster Open. Dillon made a splendid comback to the sport in winning the Mens Open Singles He defeated Michael O`Loan (Queens, Belfast) in the final 15-11, 15-11. Majella Haverty(Castlebar) won the Women's Singles final with a 2 - nil win over Donna Ryder of Newport 15-10, 15-6. Other singles winners were Michael Barrett(Mitchelstown) Mens C./D Singles, Barry Kavanagh(Galmoy) Mens Novice Singles, Brendan McArdle(Aughamullen) Mens Novice B Singles, Joe Devenney(Ballnrobe) 40+ Singles & Francis Duufy(Aughamullen) 50+ Singles Full Results Transferring from Club to Club Players transferring between clubs or from a club which no longer is affiliated must be granted permission to transfer by the the RAI. A Player Transfer Application Form must be completed and returned to the Tournament Secretary before a transfer can take place. The Tournament Secretary will consider the transfer request and if it is in order the transfer will be granted and the player's new club will be informed. Transfers which raises any doubt or questions will be referred to the RAI Executive Committee by the Tournament Secretary. Unsuccessful transfer requests maybe appealed to the RAI Executive by the player in question. Each request for a transfer must be accompanied by a transfer request fee of 20€. In the events of a transfer being unsuccessful this fee will be returned to the applicant. Download Application Form Re-grading to a Lower Grade
Players once three years in their current grade may seek re-grading to a lower grade on application to the RAI General Secretary. Players who successfully apply for re-grading must wait 30 days from the date of approval before the re-grading becomes into effect. A re-grading fee of 10€ must accompany each completed application.
