Mark Murphy(Kilkenny) was the winner of the Mens Open Singles Final at the Tralee Open held in Tralee Regional Sports Centre on 20th & 21st January 2018.
He defeated number 1 seed Noel O`Callaghan(Fermoy) in the final.
Aisling Hickey(Rossmore) defeated Olivia Downey(Moycullen) by 2 games to nil in the  Womens Final. It was Downey`s first time in the Open Singles Final.

Leinster Pairs Tournament

Players will be paired before the tournament according to seeding list
The pairs competition works the following way - two players are paired with each other. If there is 8 pairs then a draw is made or round robin formed. The number 1 players play each other to 15 points, the number 2 players take up the scores and continue the match to 30 points  after which the players double up to continue the match to 45 points. First pair to 45points win the match.
 
Example - Pair A(James no 1 & Patrick no 2) v Pair B (Mike no 1 & Robert no 2), First game is  Singles James v Mike 15 points to 12, second game Patrick v Robert, Patrick starts at 15 and Robert at 12 and they play to 30 points, after which Patrick is 30 and Robert 24 at which stage is the final part of the match and the first to 45 points win.
