All Ireland Championships 2022

After missing two years due the covid-19 pandemic, this weekend 23rd & 24thnh April, the Ireland Singles & Doubles Championships will be held in the Cork venues of Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Araglen and Kilworth, the first championships since Kingscourt in 2019. 
With 56 players entered and over 80 matches scheduled it will be a busy weekend for the organisers. The premier competitions, the Men's Open Singles and the Women's Open singles both have an entry of 9 players each. Noel O'Callaghan(Fermoy), the number 1 seed goes for his 25th Open Singles title while in the women's singles, the 2019 champion Aisling Hickey(Rossmore) is unseeded but is going for her 10th title.
In Doubles, Johnny O'Keeney & Darragh O'Donoghue(Fermoy & Araglen) are the top seeds while Katie Kenny & Majella Haverty(Castlebar) go for 3 in a row.
Other divisions are Men's B, C, D and Novice Singles, Intermediate and Novice Doubles and Women's D singles Novice Singles and Novice doubles.
